Our history
1985 - 1990
Community Action Ledbury has it origins in 1985 as a result of an initiative by Hereford & Worcester Rural Community Council to coordinate the work of voluntary groups in Ledbury. As a result the Ledbury Voluntary Action Group was formed to progress community action and the first office was opened in 1986. In 1987, a "Council for Voluntary Service " was formed and in 1988 Ledbury CVS was first registered with the charity commission. The first projects were a library for the housebound and a social car scheme.
